I managed a trip outside of Dublin this weekend, headiing north to Co. Down & the Mourne Mountains.

Slieve Donard is the highest peak in the Mournes, peak in Northern Ireland & indeed in all of Ulster, at 855 metres above sea-level. Not that I made it to the top, instead stopping a few times on the way up to the Mourne Wall, which you can see in the photo. That was about 540 metres, and the final climb is pretty steep so this inexperienced hill-walker decided to quit while the going was good ;)
